namecheap.com provides cheap domain registration with straight forward interface and free private registration for the first year and very cheap for the years ahead.
webhostingbuzz provides awesome web hosting service, they are fast, cheap, professional and dependable. I have been using their hosting for years.
THE BAD :
I've been using godaddy for years for domain name registration only. I decided to switch to namecheap.com because they provide same service for almost half price without any frills and upsell tactics. To say the least, the switch was not easy. Godaddy uses sleazy tactics to keep customers from going elsewhere, which are against ICANN rules. The only good thing I can tell about godaddy is that they respond to customer tickets pretty quickly as they should. I was lucky that I did not fall in their loopholes and did not use their hosting which, according to the stories on the net, makes the switch even more complicated. Still, what should have been a half-hour process took a few days and dozens of e-mails. Whatever services they offer are not worth the trouble regardless of the price.
AND THE UGLY:
And yeah, killing elephants is not cool.
